Chrisrmas Party at Bunratty

It was a cold frosty evening in December, but despite the cold weather, 53 of our members got dressed up and, with a great air of excitement, headed off to Bunratty Castle in Co.Clare to partake in one of its Christmas party nights.

The long oak tables, bench seating, flickering candle light and Christmas decorations created a unique atmosphere reflecting the banqueting style of the medieval era.

This unique evening at 15th century Bunratty Castle consisted of a mulled claret reception on arrival followed by a lovely 3 course dinner with red and white wine in plentiful supply.

The entertainment was provided by the superb Bunratty singers which included all the great Christmas Classics.

It was a most enjoyable evening's entertainment and it helped to raise our spirits as we approach the Christmas season.
