Ballinasloe Active Retirement Association Online

Founded in March 2002, the Association now has 200 members. Our aim is to enhance the physical, social & psychological well-being of retired people in the Ballinasloe area. St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2019

“Wet and windy” was the weather forecast for St Patrick’s Day 2019. However, 32 brave members of the Ballinasloe Active Retirement Group left their comfort zone and braved the elements to take part in our local Parade.

Our theme this year was “Life is for Living”. To prove this ,we donned our green hats and national colours and carried our bright banners to highlight all our various activities. Our colourful turnout was met with great applause .Our aim was to prove that age was no barrier to living life to the full.

We are proud to say that, once again, much to our delight, we got 1^st prize in our category.

We adjourned afterwards to Gullane’s Hotel for a well earned bowl of soup and tea/coffee.
