A.G.M. 2013

Once again Ballinasloe Active Retirement has proved what a vibrant and necessary organisation it is. The packed meeting approved of the new secretary Margaret Brennan. Office holders commit to a three year period. The Chairperson, Treasurer, and secretary retire on alternate years so that continuity is not lost.

Twenty (20) new members signed up. The Social Committee presented their programme for the coming year, with the usual spring break, day trips and sun holiday in September to top up on vitamin C for the Winter

Talks on matters of health, security and general interest are given at the monthly meeting on the 1st Wed each month.

The true value of belonging to the association is really appreciated by the members as they participate in their chosen activity. Most appreciated is the feeling of belonging to community of like minded people, who interact and enjoy each others company. Retirement can be life changing in a bad way, if one has not prepared properly,
